The recent kurfuffle over the huge amounts of money given to Afganistan...a sh*thole if there ever was one, brings up the entire matter of US Foreign aid. Rand Paul put very clearly. He said .."It is taking money from poor people in a rich country and giving it to rich people in a poor country."...namely the rich, crooked, government employees.
I never could understand why. when we cannot pay our own bills we give money to other countries knowing it will not go to the poor and which often are tyrannical, Socialist, corrupt and evil.
