The NERFC (part of NOAA) publishes a daily graphic of snow depth, and a week-long archive. Both show some inconsistent information:

Large areas of New England (especially Maine) lost snow over the last 24 hours? Up to 10 inches in parts of northern Maine? On a very cold night? How much compaction actually happens in that time? Snowpack density (another sub-page) doesn't look that high.
Very, very odd...
