There have been numerous examples of politicians defining themselves with one sentence over the years. Bill's comment about giving us a tax break but we wouldn't spend it right, Hillary's comments about not staying home and making cookies, and Brother Barry telling us how he wants to spread the wealth around.
The importance of these defining statements cannot be understated. Either a person believes in the sanctity of the individual, acknowledging that we all are created and endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, or they don't. Turning away from our Creator, they adopt what are fundamentally atheistic ideas that lead to "progressivism", globalism, and ultimately harm to individuals in the name of some false "greater good".
It just occurred to me that "Chellie" has recently defined herself perfectly in one statement. In a currently running commercial, while telling us she knows what it's like to be a struggling small business owner, Chellie looks with concern into the camera and says ...you can't do it alone.... Ding! Another elitist slithers up to us with their common message of discouragement and the false promise of becoming our savior. Deliver us form evil, Lord.
